In the autism forums I hang out on its commonly discussed whether a genetic test were developed for autism wouldn't abortions happen for autism in a similar pattern to that for down syndrome children. Since biological twin studies show autism and aspergers syndrome can happen with near identicle genetic makups (spontaneous mutations aside), then the test would result in an aspergers syndrome cultural genocide.
That's the argument at least. I've never actually studied up the actual information about down syndrome and abortion, so I'd like to see what you come up with. Please send the paper when your done with it :)
